The Association of Islamic Charitable Projects AICP Headquarters in North America
is pleased to invite you to attend our 2008
Annual Islamic Knowledge Camp

This year's camp will begin on Friday, June 27th, 2008 (check-in day, no class)

and end Sunday, July 6th, 2008 (check-out day, no class).

The AICP of North America invites you to spend time with us as we learn, play and enjoy the wonderful fellowship of Muslims at our Annual Camp of Islamic  Knowledge that will be held in Laurel Hill State Park, Somerset, PA.

Dates: Friday, June 27th through Sunday, July 6th.

Each year the Muslim community of the AICP of North America of North America organizes a week of learning and fellowship for the Muslims. We use this opportunity to escape from the demands of work, home and school. Acquire the religious knowledge needed to make you a winner in this life and in the Hereafter. The main focus of camp is to teach the Islamic Obligatory Knowledge, and will include a program of lectures and classes taught by trustworthy, knowledgeable teachers.

  • Meals: Breakfast, light lunch and dinner will be provided daily. All meat served is halal slaughter.


Donations


Cabin Accommodations: (Onsite)

  • Adults (11 and over): $125.00 each
  • First 2 Children (age 1-10): $75.00 each
  • Each Child thereafter: $50.00 each

Other Accommodations: (If you are staying offsite)

  • Adults (11 and over): $100.00 each
  • First 2 Children (age 1-10): $60.00 each
  • Each Child thereafter: $40.00 each

 

50% of all donations are due at the Main Office of AICP Philadelphia by June 15th to assure reservation.

"Limited cabin spaces are available in the main area. Please note that these cabins are reserved for families and sisters only. Brothers 13 and younger arriving at camp with their families are given the choice of staying with their families or with the rest of the brothers in the secondary cabin area. Brothers 14 and older please bring your camping gear with you."


Directions


  • To reach the park from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Exit 110 (Somerset), drive West on PA Route 31 from Somerset for 10 miles, turn left on an unnumbered route and follow the directional sign to Laurel Hill State Park.
  • The park may also be reached from Pennsylvania Turnpike Exit 91 (Donegal) by turning left on PA Route 31 and heading East to PA Routes 381/711. Turn right on PA Routes 381/711 and go South to Champion. Turn left and follow the sign to Seven Springs and Laurel Hill State Park.
